Why we started

Some of us focus on our careers. Some of us start families. Whatever our reason, a LOT of women stop playing sport.

Lunge Club is a new Women in Bowls Initiative started because the bowling green is the perfect place to rekindle a little friendly, sporty, commitment-free, social competition amongst besties.

Nothing serious, but maybe just enough that it starts your bowls era.

What we aim to do

Lunge Club is here to give you an excuse, outlet, retreat … whatever you want to call it, that gets you out and having some fun. An activity that’s more social than physical. Seriously, it’s a lunges at most while rolling the bowl and a casual walk up the green to see who got closest to the jack (the little white ball, which also gets called a kitty).
